Biocatalytic Synthesis Using Self‐Assembled Polymeric Nano‐ and Microreactors

چکیده

Biocatalysis is increasingly being explored for the sustainable development of green industry. Though enzymes show great industrial potential with their high efficiency, specificity, and selectivity, they suffer from poor usability stability under abiological conditions. To solve these problems, researchers have fabricated nano- micro-sized biocatalytic reactors based on self-assembly various polymers, leading to highly stable, functional, reusable systems. This Review highlights recent progress in self-assembled polymeric microreactors synthesis, including polymersomes, reverse micelles, polymer emulsions, Pickering static emulsions. We categorize into monophasic biphasic systems discuss structural characteristics latest successes representative examples. also consider challenges solutions associated future this field.

Biocatalytic synthesis of vanillin.
